I am a mixed media artist working in a semi abstract style. I aim to capture raw emotion & movement, tweaking the real world into my world. I don’t try to reproduce reality, but endeavour to extract the intensity.....netting a butterfly, observing the beauty, then letting it fly.
Painting from life is my passion, never quite knowing the magic to be discovered.
I live in Leigh on Sea, a beautiful part of the south east of England, where the big open skies over the Thames Estuary inspire my love of both art & photography. My daily woodland & beach walks are my true love, a great balancer & great company for what can be quite an isolating experience as an artist.
